BLOG! Ongoing.. Empty BLOG! Ongoing..

Hello all who still read this,
as you may or may have not read on our website (you know, where this blog was hosted before Wink i decided to continue the blog here on our forums. I hope i get some more input from all of you and our visitors. Yes - you can comment here, you - member and you - visitor without getting punished Smile

In fact, i would love to get some feedback.

Yeah, so, what happened?

DrgnMastr went inactive. Crying or Very sad. But life and RC has to continue. Since you all know what a great guy he was (and is) i can save me the words. Cheers to you DM, and good luck in RL...

On a much brighter note, Annika took over the second in command. What a change - from a grumpy old dragon to a pretty female soldier. I cant complain, LOL

Gamewise:
Hmmmmmmmmmm, im not entirely sure what HCS is up to with SS2. On the one hand they took more and more time to release new content and react to comments on the forums. On the other hand they might have reacted now, with BigGrim now being assigned to SS2 fulltime (which was long overdue...). Hopefully we will see some more activities in our forums from the admins, and i really would hope to see some players as moderators. There are so many double posts and stupid things on the forums, its not funny anymore.

And now: repair kits!!! WTF?!?!! It took HCS only 1 year to introduce those, LOL. Lets see if they are really usable. Well, they are made from AR points so i guess we will see much more competition for those in the future.... But hell, repair kits?? We now have three types, and im really not sure what they do exactly. From the text:
"This item will repair all currently equipped items up to a maximum...

  • "Advanced Repair Droid" - 3 AR - 'Min level' of 150 by +100%
  • "Comprehensive Repair Case" - 2 AR - 'Min Level' of 100 by +100%
  • "Nanite Repair Tube" - 1 AR - 'Min Level' of 50 by +100%

Does the 'Min Level' refer to the level of the gear, or to the level of durability?? Hmmm, have to check that i guess...
(My guess: NRT repairs <=L50 gear to 100%; CRC repairs <=L100 gear to 100% and ARD repairs <=L150 to 100%)

I sense this could be a fun place to just kick back and write anything! Thanks Nestor!

Here's a little something extra I wanted to say, but couldn't find a place to say it: In our recent Medals and Awards Ceremony, one thing became strikingly apparent: The number of Teamplayer Medals achieved by our Members is HUGE! This goes to show that our Members care, and help out!

Here's two stats you may find interesting: As at 7 November 2009, our Mmbers have created 1,753 squads, but joined 8,553 Squads!

That's 77,825 Energy expended JUST to help the Faction, and each other! Also, to date, our Members have cast 13,177 Skills on each other. If you take on average that it costs about 65 Energy for a Salvo of DP, RES and KR, that would mean that our Members spent (wait for it) the following amount of Energy on helping OTHER MEMBERS (Remember, the Advisor counts only buffs cast on other Members of your Faction, yourself excluded):

856,505 Energy!!

Just thought I'd throw this out there, for anyone. Just a comment: The above figure is based on basic buffs that almost everyone has. If you had to include Corrodes etc. we'd be looking at almost double that amount.

If this doesn't show the spirit of Red Cell, I'm unsure what else in the game does...

Wow those are some interesting facts Rift, great job everyone in RC!

I like the look of the repair kits, but I'm not really sure what exactly they do and what items they affect either, guess we will have to wait and see what is said in the forum thread about it. I think SS2 is going to get better and better from here now that Big Grim has joined the SS2 team fulltime. Hopefully content will be released quicker, and some of the other issues in the game in the game get cleaned up too.

On a final note, I want to say one more thankyou to DM, he was an inspirational member who will be missed greatly.

Lets see how SS2 develops over the next few months...
